You can receive one of one or more awards valued at $8,500 to $10,000. Specifically, you get $8,500 for diploma programs and $10,000 for degree programs. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a high-achieving student who wants to build a career in the Canadian energy sector and has a track record of leading others in your school or community. You must apply by June 15, 2026. When you apply, ask Calgary Foundation how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through their portal. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Calgary Foundation how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. The money is applied directly to your tuition. Confirm with Calgary Foundation if there are any specific steps you need to take to ensure the funds reach your school account. This award is renewable for up to two consecutive years if you maintain your eligibility. Depending on your program, you can get up to three years of support total for degree programs, or up to two years of support total for diploma programs. Confirm with Calgary Foundation exactly what you need to maintain to keep the funding.
