About this award

You can receive a $5,000 bursary. This is a grant, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. There is only one award given per year as funds are available. This is for you if you are pursuing a Master's degree. You must apply by April 30. You will hear back from the IODE (Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire — a Canadian women's organization) in May or June. Selection criteria aren't published — ask IODE Alberta Provincial Chapter how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds.
