You can receive up to $5,000 for this award. While the maximum is $5,000, OCAD University notes that its bursaries generally range in value from $500 to $5,000. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are an Ontario student who wants to gain global perspective through mobility, exchange, or other international experiences. You must apply by November 9, 2026. When you apply, ask OCAD University how and when you will hear back — whether it is through email, the portal, or a phone call. OCAD University says its bursaries are given out based on financial need and the number of students who apply. Ask OCAD University's financial aid office how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask OCAD University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with OCAD University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
To qualify, you must be enrolled at OCAD University and be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have refugee or protected-person status in Canada. You must also be an Ontario resident as defined by OSAP (the Ontario Student Assistance Program — the provincial office that manages student financial aid). Finally, you must use your OSAP application to demonstrate your financial need and be pursuing Mobility/Exchange or International Experiences.
