About this award

You can win one of 2 scholarships of $1,750 each. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a woman pursuing a technical education and are passionate about starting a career in the electrical industry or related fields. You must apply by June 11, 2027. When you apply, ask Rittal Canada (through the Electro-Federation Canada (EFC — the national association for the electrical contracting industry) scholarship program) how and when you will hear back about your application. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Rittal Canada (through the EFC scholarship program) how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Rittal Canada (through the EFC scholarship program) during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Rittal Canada (through the EFC scholarship program) whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

To qualify, you must be a female undergraduate student who is either a citizen of Canada or a legal permanent resident. You must be a current post-secondary undergraduate student enrolled full-time in an appropriate field of study at an accredited college or university program. Examples of eligible fields include Electrical Engineering, Electrical Apprenticeships, or Electrical/Electronic Technologist or Technician programs. You also need to have competitive grades in your current program and show that you are involved in your community through leadership roles.
