About this award

You can receive a $2,500 scholarship. This is a grant, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an Indigenous student pursuing a path in Business Administration and are interested in a career with SaskGaming (the organization that operates Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw). You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask First Nations University of Canada how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through the portal. Selection criteria aren't published — ask First Nations University of Canada how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask First Nations University of Canada during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with First Nations University of Canada whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Tips for applying

• Career GoalsAvoid giving a generic answer about wanting a degree. Instead, explain why you are specifically interested in a Business Administration role with SaskGaming. Mention your interest in the gaming and hospitality industry.
• RealismAvoid assuming this is the only source of funding you need. Instead, look for other bursaries at First Nations University of Canada. Combining multiple smaller awards is often the best way to cover your full tuition.
