About this award

Depending on the award, you can receive between $1,000 and $3,000. Specifically, the Bourse Raymonde-Proulx is $3,000, the Bourse Antonine Boily-Bousquet and Bourse Caisse Desjardins de l'éducation are $2,500 each, the Bourse Phi Delta Kappa and Bourse pour la présence masculine en enseignement are $2,000 each, and the Bourse Murielle-Labelle is $1,000. There are also admission scholarships worth $1,500 each for students entering secondary math, science and tech, French as a second language, or preschool and primary education. As these are scholarships, they are grants, not loans, so you do not have to pay them back. This is for you if you are a dedicated student pursuing a bachelor's degree in education sciences who needs financial support to continue your studies. In 2026, applications for the competition-based awards closed on Friday, May 15, 2026, and the admission scholarships went to CEGEP students who applied to their program by March 1, 2026 (winners were announced in April 2026). The Faculty gives these scholarships every year, so watch its scholarships page for the next dates. Winners are selected based on academic records, financial need, and sometimes specific involvement in school settings. For the male presence award, the winner is chosen based on the best academic record. The Faculty does not publish how many students apply for each award. Ask Université de Montréal — Faculté des sciences de l'éducation during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Université de Montréal — Faculté des sciences de l'éducation whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

  • StrategyAvoid ignoring the specific year requirements. Instead, double-check if you are in the exact year of study (e.g., 2nd year for Boily-Bousquet) required for each award. List the awards you qualify for first to prioritize your effort.
