About this award

You can receive a $10,000 scholarship. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. The BC Scholarship Society awards up to 15 of these scholarships each year. This is for you if you self-identify as a woman excelling in the study of Computer/Data Science, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics. There is a special focus on Indigenous women, as at least two of the awards are dedicated to women of Indigenous ancestry. Applications are currently closed and late submissions will not be considered. They will reopen in February 2027. Who qualifies

You qualify if you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, Convention refugee, or Protected Person living in Canada. You must self-identify as a woman and be enrolled in full-time studies at a public post-secondary institution in British Columbia. You must be pursuing an undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer/Data Science, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics. To apply, you must have completed a minimum of one year of post-secondary studies, have at least one year remaining in your program, and have achieved a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). You cannot apply if you have already won a Women in Technology Scholarship.
