About this award

Get up to $44,000 for your undergraduate degree or $22,000 for a college diploma if you are a Grade 12 student residing in British Columbia.

You can receive up to $44,000 for a 4-year undergraduate degree or up to $22,000 for a 2-year college diploma or certificate. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. Along with the money, you get access to a Student Success Program, peer support groups, mentors, and paid internship opportunities during the summer. This is for you if you are a resilient high-school graduate who has faced financial adversity and needs wrap-around support to rise above your circumstances. Applications typically open in November and close in December, with the final cohort announced in May. Since applications for Cohort 2026 are now closed, check the Beedie Luminaries program page or call their office to confirm when the next window opens. A selection committee evaluates applications between January and April. Some of you may be invited for interviews before the final winners are chosen.
