About this award

You can receive $375.00. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student at Nipissing University who has a strong academic record in Canadian History or Geography and needs financial support. You must apply by November 1, 2026. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. Winners are chosen based on who has the highest average among those who have taken any of Nipissing's 3rd or 4th year Canadian History or Canadian Geography courses. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Nipissing University how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Nipissing University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Nipissing University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Tips for applying

• StrategyAvoid waiting for a separate notification for this award. Instead, remember that you are automatically considered once you finish the General Application. Focus your energy on perfecting that main application.
• RealismAvoid assuming this is a guaranteed fund. Instead, recognize that this is a single award given to the student with the highest average. Treat this as a potential bonus rather than your primary source of funding.
