About this award

You will receive $425.00. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a full-time student pursuing a career in teaching within the Bachelor of Education program. You must apply by November 1, 2026. When you apply, ask Nipissing University how and when you will hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Ask Nipissing University how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask Nipissing University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Nipissing University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Tips for applying

• LanguageAvoid ignoring the preference for francophone students if you speak French. Instead, ensure your profile or application clearly indicates your French language skills. Update your language preferences in the awards portal.
• SupportAvoid leaving your General Application incomplete. Instead, fill out every section of the form thoroughly since you are automatically considered based on that data. Double-check that your program of study is correctly listed.
• StrategyAvoid waiting until the last minute to submit. Instead, complete your General Application well before the November 1 deadline to avoid technical glitches. Set a calendar reminder for late October.
• RealismAvoid assuming this award is guaranteed because it is automatic. Instead, remember that preference clauses and program restrictions mean competition is still high. Apply for other bursaries at Nipissing University to increase your chances.
