Elspeth Minnery Memorial Award

What you will need

• ✓ Completed General Application via the Nipissing University awards portal

About this award

You can receive $425.00. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a mature student who is balancing your education with adult responsibilities and needs financial support. You must apply by November 1, 2026. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Ask Nipissing University how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask Nipissing University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Nipissing University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

To qualify, you must be a mature student enrolled in any degree program at Nipissing University. Selection is made on the basis of financial need.
