About this award

You can access several different funding options. The Innovation Federal Credit Union offers 10 scholarships of $2,500.00 each. The Co-operators Group Limited provides one (1) $2,500 scholarship and one (1) $2,500 bursary. For the Emergency Bursary, you receive short-term urgent financial assistance to help you stay in school. As these are scholarships and bursaries, they are grants, not loans, so you do not have to pay them back. This is for you if you are a full-time student at First Nations University of Canada. The Co-operators Group Limited awards are only for Indigenous students; the Innovation Federal Credit Union scholarships are open to full-time students in any field of study. For most awards, you must apply through AwardSpring between October 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask First Nations University of Canada how and when you will hear back—whether by email, portal, or phone. Selection criteria aren't published for all awards—ask First Nations University of Canada how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. For the Innovation Federal Credit Union awards, you must be willing to share your name, photo, and program on social media and provide a testimonial. Ask First Nations University of Canada during your application how the money will reach you—some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed for most of these awards. Since you can only apply for the Emergency Bursary once per academic year, confirm with First Nations University of Canada if other awards are one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

For the Innovation Federal Credit Union scholarships, you must be a full-time student at First Nations University of Canada in any field of study with a PGPA of at least 60%.
