About this award

This is a bursary, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. The amount you receive depends on your program: you get $500 for Diplomas, $750 for Ontario Graduate Certificates, and $1,000 for Bachelor and Master's Degrees. This is for you if you are a domestic student who needs extra financial support to manage your costs while studying full-time. Deadlines depend on the term you are applying for. For Summer 2026, apply by May 8; for Fall 2026, apply by August 14; for Winter 2027, apply by December 11; and for Summer 2027, apply by May 7. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. Selection is based primarily on financial need, though Humber College may also consider your academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Ask Humber College roughly how many students receive a tuition bursary each term so you can judge your odds. Ask Humber College during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Humber College whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain. Note that you can only submit one application per academic year.

You must be a domestic student enrolled in full-time studies as either a new or returning student. You must demonstrate financial need. This award is available for those in Diploma, Degree, and Post-Graduate Certificate programs. Please note that Ontario College Certificates, Certificates of Achievement, and Certificates of Completion are not eligible.
