About this award

You can receive $2,000 to put toward professional development workshops or courses in choral conducting. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an emerging practicing choral conductor who is dedicated to growing your skills and continuing your professional development in the field of conducting. The last round ran from December 2, 2025 to 2:00 p.m. on February 17, 2026. The next round opens in December 2026; applications are usually accepted between December and February, and exact dates change each year. Every applicant hears the result by late April. An awards committee of five to seven members from London Pro Musica Choir, Amabile Choirs of London, Medway High School and London Community Foundation reviews every application. Ask the London Community Foundation roughly how many people apply so you can judge your odds. Ask London Community Foundation during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with London Community Foundation whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
