About this award

You can receive a total of $25,000 over your degree. This is broken down as $10,000 in your first year and $5,000 each for years 2, 3, and 4. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an incoming student who intends to major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). You must submit your application by March 1. Note that this award is not available for students starting their studies in January. When you apply, ask Mount Allison University how and when you will hear back — whether by email, phone, or the application portal. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Mount Allison University how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Only one student is offered this scholarship. Ask Mount Allison University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this scholarship, you must achieve a 3.5 GPA (Grade Point Average — the average of all your final grades) and complete 30 credits over the fall and winter terms. You must also remain within any of the PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) departments.

Who qualifies

You must be an entering student intending to major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). You cannot receive this award if you are starting your studies in January. Please note that you cannot combine this scholarship with other scholarships.
