About this award

You can receive $600.00. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a full-time student who needs extra financial help to afford your education at Nipissing University. You must apply by November 1, 2026. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Six full-time students are chosen based on their demonstrated financial need. Ask Nipissing University how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask Nipissing University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Nipissing University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be one of six full-time students who can demonstrate financial need. You must also be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP (the Ontario Student Assistance Program — the provincial office that manages student loans and grants).

This is what the award's official page said when we last checked. Rules change, so confirm on the award's official page before you apply.

Tips for applying

• Financial NeedAvoid giving vague descriptions of your situation. Instead, provide clear details about your specific expenses and income gaps. List your monthly costs to show why this $600 would make a difference.
• SupportAvoid leaving your general application incomplete. Instead, ensure every section of your profile is finished. Double-check that your residency status is correctly marked.
• StrategyAvoid waiting until the last minute to check your portal. Instead, log in to the Nipissing University awards portal early to ensure your General Application is fully submitted. Since you are automatically considered, your profile accuracy is your only tool.
• RealismAvoid assuming this award is guaranteed. Instead, remember that only six students receive this funding. Apply for several other bursaries at the same time to increase your chances of getting support.
