About this award

You will receive $743.00. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a graduate student in the Humanities who is facing financial challenges while maintaining a strong academic record. You must apply by February 2, 2027. When you apply, ask Lakehead University how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Selection is based on your financial need and your grades. Ask Lakehead University how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask Lakehead University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Lakehead University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
