About this award

You can receive $31,890 through one of five Seymour Schulich MBA Entrance Scholarships or one of five Tanna H. Schulich MBA Entrance Scholarships. As these are scholarships, not loans, you do not have to pay this money back. They are awards and are not renewable. This is for you if you are an incoming full-time MBA (Master of Business Administration) student who brings a blend of academic excellence, professional experience, and a history of helping your community. There is no separate scholarship deadline. Domestic students are invited to apply for entrance funding during the admissions process, and international applicants are considered automatically for merit-based entrance awards. Because this award also weighs financial need and leadership, only shortlisted applicants are invited to apply. You will be notified by email if you are selected. The Awards Committee selects recipients based on established award criteria and guidelines. Because there are 10 total awards available across the two named scholarships, ask Schulich School of Business how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Schulich School of Business during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow.

Who qualifies

You must be an incoming full-time student in the MBA (Master of Business Administration) program. To qualify, you need to demonstrate academic excellence and have at least two years of working experience. You must also show that you have been active in your community and have demonstrated leadership qualities, either in your workplace or through extracurricular activities. Financial need is also considered.
