About this award

You can receive a $1,000 award to help with your studies. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a recent high school graduate starting your journey in application development and delivery. You must apply by September 15th. When you apply, ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through the application portal. Selection is based on your high school average and your financial need. Selection criteria aren't published in detail — ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

• StrategyAvoid forgetting to specify the award name. Instead, clearly write "Stu and Heather Charles Award" on your General RRC Polytech Application so the committee knows exactly which fund you are applying for.
