You can receive $2,000 per term, which is applied directly to your student account. Depending on your program length, you could receive up to $4,000 total for a two-semester program, up to $6,000 total for a three-semester program, or up to $8,000 total for a four-semester program. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are starting your career in the skilled trades and are looking for both financial help and mentorship to help you succeed in your studies. You must be registered full-time and entering the first year of one of these eligible skilled trade programs for the 2026 Fall term: Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Building Construction Technician, Cabinetmaking and Furniture Technician, Carpentry and Renovation Techniques (Pembroke), Electrical Techniques, Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician, Heritage Carpentry and Joinery, Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing, Motive Power Technician, Motive Power Technician – Diesel Equipment and Truck, or Welding and Fabrication Techniques. You must also commit to the mentorship program and maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
