Conestoga College Degree Entrance Scholarship

About this award

You can receive a one-time payment based on your admissions average: $1,500 if your average is between 70-79%, $2,000 for 80-89%, or $2,500 for 90-100%. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are starting the first year of an eligible degree program at Conestoga College with an admissions average of at least 70%. Conestoga College says students entering eligible degree programs with a minimum 70% average receive the Degree Entrance Scholarship. It is awarded to registered students after day 10 of the term. If you have questions, email awards@conestogac.on.ca. The amount is set by your admissions average, using the three bands above. Ask Conestoga College how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. This scholarship is for first year. In later years, Conestoga College gives a separate $500 Continuing Degree Scholarship once a year to students beginning their second, third or fourth year of an eligible degree program who received the Degree Entrance Scholarship, are in good academic standing and have a Program Weighted Average (PWA) of 70% or higher.

Who qualifies

You must be accepted into the first year of an eligible degree program at Conestoga College with an admissions average of at least 70%. Please note that if you are in the Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BScN — a degree focusing on professional nursing practice) program, you may not receive this scholarship.
