Get up to $2,500 for your undergraduate studies in Canada or the US — apply by April 30 if you or a family member are Foresters members.
You can receive a tuition scholarship worth up to $2,500. There are 400+ Competitive Scholarships available, with up to 475 tuition scholarships distributed across Canada and the US. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a young leader who balances strong grades with a commitment to helping your community through volunteer work. You must apply between December 4, 2025, and April 30, 2026. You will be notified of your award status in mid-June 2026. If you win, you must accept or decline the award by the date on your acceptance form, or you risk losing the money. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Foresters Financial how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. The benefit is administered by ISTS (International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. — the company that manages the application and payment process). Ask Foresters Financial during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Funds are issued by August 31, 2026. Renewal conditions aren't listed, but the program allows returning candidates to apply again. Confirm with Foresters Financial what you need to maintain to remain eligible for future cycles.
Read the official award page end-to-end. Confirm you meet every requirement before you start.
Order through your school registrar: allow 1–2 weeks.
Double-check every field, save a copy, and submit at least 24 hours early.
The biggest mistake is listing generic tasks without impact.
Winners instead quantify their contribution, such as "organized 5 food drives that fed 200 families." Give a specific number of people helped or hours led.
The biggest mistake is using a family friend who cannot speak to your leadership.
Winners instead use a supervisor from their 50+ hours of service who can prove their reliability.
Provide a referee who has seen you work in the community.
The biggest mistake is waiting until April to gather documents.
