Gene Haas Foundation Award for Innovative Manufacturing - Year 2

What you will need

• ✓ Completed General Application via the Saskatchewan Polytechnic awards portal

About this award

You can receive a $2,000.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a second-year student specializing in innovative manufacturing who also has a demonstrated financial need. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Three awards are available. Selection is based on a 50% weighting for your academic achievement and a 50% weighting for your financial need. Since you are automatically considered through the General Application, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they verify these scores. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be enrolled full-time in the Innovative Manufacturing Diploma program, Year 2 at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina campus.
