About this award

You can receive a $1,000.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are pursuing studies that lead to a journeyperson status in any apprenticeship program at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert campus and have significant financial need. You must apply by June 15, 2027. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. Selection is based on financial need, which carries a 100% weighting. There is only 1 award available. Selection criteria aren't published otherwise — ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how winners are chosen so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be pursuing studies that lead to a journeyperson status in any apprenticeship program at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert campus. A preference is given to a student of self-declared Indigenous ancestry, which includes Metis, Status/Treaty Indian, Non-Status Indian, and Inuit.
