Get $2,500 for your first year in Information Security or Application Development and Delivery at RRC Polytech.

You can receive a $2,500 award, which is a grant you do not have to pay back. The money is sent in two parts: you get $1,500 when you are selected, and the remaining $1,000 is awarded at the beginning of your second year once you have completed your enrolment. This is for you if you are a first-year domestic student at RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) who is focusing on cyber security or software development and needs financial support to continue your studies. You must apply by January 15th. When you apply, ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how and when you will hear back — whether it is through email, a phone call, or the application portal. Winners are chosen based on your academic progress and your financial need. Selection criteria aren't published in detail, so ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, while others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed. Since the second half of the money depends on you starting your second year, confirm with RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) if there are any other GPA or credit requirements you must maintain to keep the funding.
You must be a first-year domestic student who has completed the first term of either the Information Security or Application Development and Delivery program at RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic). You are required to have achieved a minimum 3.00 GPA (Grade Point Average — the average of your final grades). While all eligible students are encouraged to apply, a preference will be given to Indigenous and/or female candidates.
