Leslie & Irene Dubé Foundation Award

What you will need

• ✓ Completed General Application via Saskatchewan Polytechnic's awards portal

About this award

You can receive a $2,500.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a nursing student facing financial challenges while pursuing your advanced diploma. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Selection is based on financial need, which carries a 100% weighting in the decision. There are 20 awards available. Since the process is automatic via the General Application, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they verify financial documents and how competitive the pool is this year. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be enrolled full-time in the Psychiatric Nursing Advanced Diploma program at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus where the program is offered. If there are not enough eligible students in the Psychiatric Nursing program, students enrolled in the Collaborative Nurse Practitioner program may be considered for this award as well. Selection is based entirely on financial need (100% weighting).

This is what the award's official page said when we last checked. Rules change, so confirm on the award's official page before you apply.
