About this award
You can receive a $1,500.00 scholarship. This is a grant, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student who is a single parent or who was raised by a single parent. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Winners are chosen based on academic achievement, which makes up 100% of the scoring. There are 2 awards available per academic year. Selection criteria aren't published in detail — ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they rank academic achievement so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
Who qualifies
To qualify, you must be enrolled full-time in the Architectural Technologies – Building Science Diploma program, specifically in Year 2 – Semester 4, at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw Campus. Additionally, you must be a single parent or have been raised by a single parent.
