100% free 17-week IT bootcamp plus a Google IT Professional Certification voucher, built for Canadians who are unemployed or underemployed and ready to start an IT career — apply for the next cohort.
NPower Canada's Junior IT Analyst Program is a tuition-free, 15-week intensive that prepares you for entry-level IT support and infrastructure roles — and includes the Google IT Support Professional Certificate exam voucher at no extra cost. NPower Canada is a national charity launched in 2014 in Ontario to create digital-career pathways for underserved youth and adults; more than 3,400 graduates have come through its programs to date. The Junior IT Analyst track is its longest-running cohort and the entry-point program from which graduates often move into NPower's specialized cybersecurity, data, and cloud streams. Funding comes from Upskill Canada (federal Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program), corporate partners including Google, and foundations like the Future Skills Centre. That funding is why the program is genuinely free — no fees to apply, no fees during training, and the Google IT Pro voucher is included. The curriculum pairs classroom learning with mentorship and an internship-matching service that connects you to NPower's hiring partners. The program is one-shot, not renewable — you complete one cohort and move into NPower's career-services support. To qualify you must be eligible to work full-time in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or open work permit), hold a valid Social Insurance Number, and not already hold the Google IT Support certification or anything more advanced. Basic computer literacy is required, but no IT background is needed. Cohorts run year-round in Ontario, Alberta, BC, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia, plus a French cohort for Quebec residents. Apply through npowercanada.ca; in Ontario and Alberta, qualified applicants are placed into a computerized lottery for available seats.
