About this award

You can receive a $1,000.00 bursary. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are a returning adult learner who has successfully finished a basic education program and is now moving into a longer full-time program at one of the four main campuses. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through the awards portal. Selection is based entirely on financial need, which carries a 100% weighting. There is one award available for each of the four campus versions. Since specific committee details aren't published, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they verify financial need and how many students typically apply. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

To qualify, you must be enrolled full-time in any program that is 17 weeks or more in length at one of the following Saskatchewan Polytechnic locations: Regina campus, Moose Jaw campus, Saskatoon campus, or Prince Albert campus. Additionally, in the immediate preceding academic year, you must have completed a full-time Adult Basic Education (ABE — a program designed to help adults gain the basic skills needed for further education) program. To count as full-time, your ABE program must have been at least 12 weeks in duration and required a minimum of 20 hours per week. Selection is based on financial need (100% weighting).
