About this award

You can receive a $500.00 award. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are pursuing a career in law enforcement and identify as Indigenous. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through the awards portal. Selection is based equally on your financial need (50%) and your academic achievement (50%). There are 2 awards available. Selection criteria aren't published in detail — ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how winners are chosen so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be enrolled full-time in the Justice Studies Diploma program, Indigenous Policing specialty at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic Campus. A preference will be given to those of self-declared Indigenous ancestry, which includes Indian, Metis, and Inuit.
