About this award

You can receive a $1,000.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a first-year student at the Moose Jaw campus who is balancing your academic goals with financial need. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you will hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through the awards portal. Selection is based on a weighted system: 40% for your academic achievement, 40% for your financial need, and 20% for your career goals. There is only 1 award available, so ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they choose the winner among all applicants to judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Who qualifies

To qualify, you must be enrolled full-time in the Business Information Systems Diploma program, Year 1 at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw campus. A preference is given first to students who are of self-declared Indigenous ancestry, and then to students of other equity groups, including people with disabilities, members of visible minority groups, and women interested in trades or technology.
