McGill lists the value as varying and says the scholarship is renewable. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an outstanding jazz student entering the Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) or Licentiate in Music (L.Mus.) program at McGill's Schulich School of Music. There is no separate application. You are considered automatically when you apply to a Schulich School of Music program by the admissions deadline. Music entrance scholarships are recommended by Department Chairs, in consultation with Area Chairs, based on audition results. The Schulich School of Music Scholarship Committee chooses one or more winners on the basis of high academic standing and performance excellence. Ask the Schulich School of Music (studentawards.music@mcgill.ca) how the money is paid. The School's rules for its renewable scholarships: if your sessional GPA or CGPA falls below 3.50, or, for Performance majors, your performance tutorial or practical exam grade falls below "A", your award is reviewed and may not be renewed. You must also meet the credit load rules for in-course music scholarships and return a signed copy of the scholarship agreement to the Dean's Office each year.
