About this award

You can receive a $2,500.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who balances your studies with community involvement, music, drama, or other leadership activities. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you will hear back — whether by email, phone, or through the awards portal. Selection is based on a 50% weighting for your academic achievement and a 50% weighting for your financial need. There is one award available for Version 1 and three awards available for Version 2. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they review the profiles and how many people typically apply so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

To qualify, you must be enrolled full-time in any program at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. You must have been involved in extracurricular activities, such as community participation, music, drama, or roles that show leadership qualities. For Version 1 of the award, a preference will be given to applicants who are of self-declared Indigenous ancestry, which includes Metis, Status/Treaty Indian, Non-Status Indian, and Inuit.
