You can receive a $500.00 grant for your studies. As a grant, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are a dedicated apprentice technician living and working in the southern region of Saskatchewan. You must apply by June 15, 2027. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. Selection is based on your grade point average from the Agricultural Equipment Technician Apprenticeship level 1, which makes up 100% of the weighting. There is only 1 award available, so ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
To qualify, you must be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada. You must be enrolled full-time and have completed the Agricultural Equipment Technician, Level 1 Apprenticeship program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon Campus in the academic year the scholarship is awarded. Additionally, you must currently reside south of Provincial highways #5 and #7, and be employed within the Young’s Equipment Inc. trading area (which starts at the community of Davidson, Saskatchewan and ends at the southern border of Saskatchewan).
This is what the award's official page said when we last checked. Rules change, so confirm on the award's official page before you apply.
