You can receive at least $5,000. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. The number of awards varies each year. This is for you if you are an Ontario resident starting full-time first-year undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, with an admission average of at least 85%, financial need, and a record of leadership and involvement in academic and extracurricular activities. You must apply by March 31, 2027 through the University of Ottawa's Online Scholarships and Bursaries system. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back. Your financial need is determined by the University of Ottawa's Financial Aid and Awards Service; the application includes a Financial Questionnaire. Ask the University of Ottawa how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. This award is not renewable, so plan how you will pay for your later years.
You must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a person with protected or refugee status, and an Ontario resident under OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) rules. You must be admitted as a full-time student to the first year of an undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa, with an admission average of at least 85%. You must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the University of Ottawa's Financial Aid and Awards Service, and show leadership qualities and commitment to academic and extracurricular activities.
