About this award

You get $3,000 for this scholarship. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. If you maintain your enrolment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Sciences and achieve an annual GPA of 10.0 (A- standing), the award is renewable for one additional year. This is for you if you are an outstanding student starting your university journey in the field of earth sciences. No application is required. To be considered, you must be entering the program in the fall term and studying at the post-secondary level for the first time. It goes to the top five outstanding students entering the program; Carleton does not publish how it ranks them. You can hold it on top of other Carleton Entrance or Prestige scholarships. Ask Carleton University how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this award for the second year, you must maintain your enrolment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Sciences and achieve an annual GPA of 10.0.
