Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarships range from $1,000 up to one year of free tuition and need a minimum 75% average in your completed Grade 11 and 12 classes. Scholastic Distinction Scholarships, for students from East Kootenay secondary schools with at least an 85% average in Grade 11 and 12 academic classes, are worth up to two years of free tuition (up to $8,000). These are scholarships, not loans, so you do not have to pay them back. This is for you if you are a domestic student moving directly from your secondary school graduation into your first year of post-secondary study. Applications open in February 2027.
