About this award

You can receive $30,000 in total, which is paid as $7,500 per year over four years. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. Because these are renewable entrance scholarships, you may receive funding each year of your degree. This is for you if you have a strong record of academic success, leadership, and meaningful contributions to your school and community life. There are also five Circle of Honour Awards specifically designated for Indigenous students, and two of the main University of Saskatchewan Entrance Scholarships are preferentially awarded to Indigenous students. You must submit your application for admission by December 1 and your scholarship application by December 15. You will hear back via email between January and late February; only those selected for an award will be notified. Winners are chosen based on their academics, leadership, and contributions to school and community life. The application form has short- and long-answer questions, so give yourself time to write them. Ask University of Saskatchewan during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow.
