About this award

Every student who meets the requirements receives a $4,000 entrance scholarship toward their Concordia education. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident finishing Grade 12, CEGEP, the IB Diploma or the French Baccalaureate at a school in Canada, you have not attended post-secondary before (CEGEP excepted), and you are starting a Concordia bachelor's degree full-time (at least 12 credits a term) in Fall 2027 or Winter 2028. There is no application and no separate deadline — if you are admitted and meet the requirements, the award is given automatically. The full terms are set out in your award letter. The grade bar depends on what you are finishing: a CRC (the Quebec CEGEP ranking score) of 33 or above, an A or A+ average in Grade 12, a French Baccalaureate average of 16 or above, or an IB score of 35 or above. Concordia's Admissions team works out your average from the grades available when your application is assessed. Ask Concordia University during your enrollment how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Concordia University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be admitted to a Concordia bachelor's degree program for Fall 2027 or Winter 2028; be completing Grade 12, CEGEP, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or the French Baccalaureate at a school in Canada; be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; not have attended a post-secondary institution before (CEGEP excepted); and enrol full-time (at least 12 credits per term). If you were admitted for Winter 2027 or earlier, different entrance awards apply.
