About this award

You get $4,000. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a high-achieving student in the Medical Laboratory Technology program who has finished the classroom-based learning phase of your studies. The deadline is February 12, 2027. Since you are automatically considered, you won't receive a separate notification until the school announces the winners through the awards portal or email. You are chosen based on having the highest academic achievement and general proficiency in your program. Selection criteria aren't published in detail, so ask NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) how they weigh grades versus proficiency to judge your odds. Ask NAIT during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and have completed the didactic component (the classroom and theory-based part) of the program. You are selected based on your highest academic achievement and general proficiency in the program.
