About this award

You get $500 for one year, though the award may be renewed annually. The money is sent in two increments in January and May, and while the base value is $500, it can be provided in increments of $500 up to the cost of your full tuition and mandatory fees. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student-athlete balancing the demands of full-time study and playing on the NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) men's hockey team. The deadline to apply is February 12, 2027. Since you are automatically considered based on your general application, ask NAIT how and when you will be notified of the results. You are automatically considered for this award based on your completed General Application. Selection is handled at the discretion of the Department of Athletics and Recreation and the NAIT coaching staff, based on your acceptance into their program and onto the intercollegiate team.
