About this award

You can receive $500.00 for this award. The money is disbursed in increments of $500, up to the full cost of your tuition and mandatory fees. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student-athlete playing for the men's hockey team at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). The application deadline is February 12, 2027. Since you are automatically considered through your general application, ask NAIT how and when you will be notified of the result. Winners are selected at the discretion of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. The NAIT coaching staff chooses recipients based on your acceptance into your program, your spot on the intercollegiate team, and your academic achievement. Ask NAIT how many of these awards are given out each winter. Ask NAIT during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be a full-time student and a member of the men’s hockey team at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). Selection depends on your acceptance into your program, your acceptance onto the NAIT intercollegiate team, and satisfactory academic achievement.
