About this award

$2,500 is available for this award. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a high-achieving student moving into your second year of study in the Interior Design Technology program. You must submit your materials by February 12, 2027. When you apply, ask NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) how and when you'll hear back — whether by email, phone, or the student portal. Winners are chosen based on top academic achievement in the first year of the program. Selection criteria aren't published in detail, so ask NAIT how many students typically receive this award so you can judge your odds. Ask NAIT during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Tips for applying

StrategyAvoid ignoring the General Application process. Instead, treat the General Application as your primary tool for discovery, as it is how you are automatically considered for this and other awards. Complete every optional field in the portal to maximize your visibility.
RealismAvoid relying solely on this funding for your second-year tuition. Instead, look for other bursaries and grants within the NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) portal. Create a list of three alternative funding sources to secure your budget.
