About this award
You can receive a $2,500.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an Indigenous or Metis student pursuing a diploma and need financial support to continue your studies. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Selection is based on a weighted system: 75% of the decision is based on your financial need and 25% is based on your academic achievement. There are 2 awards available. Since specific details on the review committee aren't published, ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic how they verify these weights so you can judge your odds. Ask Saskatchewan Polytechnic during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Saskatchewan Polytechnic whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
Who qualifies
