About this award
You get $500.00. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student athlete competing in Women's Hockey during the winter season. You must apply by February 12, 2027. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. NAIT's official page says how this award is decided (see Who qualifies). Ask NAIT how many students usually qualify, so you can judge your odds. Ask NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
Who qualifies
You must be eligible for the Women's Hockey - Winter program at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).

Tips for applying
- General ApplicationAvoid leaving sections of your general application blank. Instead, provide detailed answers for every prompt to ensure the system flags you for all possible awards. Complete your profile fully in the portal.
- StrategyAvoid waiting until the February 12 deadline to submit. Instead, finish your general application early so you can double-check that your athletic status is correctly updated. Set a reminder for one week before the due date.
- RealismAvoid assuming the general application guarantees a win. Instead, remember that athletic awards are often limited by the number of spots on a team. Check with the athletics department to see how many of these awards are given out each winter.
