About this award

You get $500.00 in total. This money is sent to you in two increments of $500 in January and May, provided you maintain your academic standing. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a full-time student and a member of the Women’s Volleyball team. The deadline to be considered is February 12, 2027. Since you are automatically considered through your General Application, ask NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) how and when you will be notified if you are selected. Recipients are selected at the discretion of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. Ask NAIT how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. Ask NAIT during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. You must maintain your academic standing to receive the funds. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Tips for applying

• StrategyAvoid waiting for a specific invitation to apply. Instead, complete the NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) General Application as early as possible. This ensures you are automatically entered for this and other awards.
• RealismAvoid relying on this as your primary funding source. Instead, view this as a supplement to your budget since it is a smaller, discretionary award. Apply for other larger bursaries at the same time.
