About this award

You can receive a $500.00 grant. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are training to be an Auto Body Technician and need financial support to complete your apprenticeship. You must apply by June 7, 2027. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. NAIT's official page says how this award is decided (see Who qualifies). Ask NAIT how many students usually qualify, so you can judge your odds. Ask NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with NAIT whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be enrolled in the third period of the Auto Body Technician apprenticeship at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). This award is granted on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Note that you will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT.

Tips for applying

• Financial NeedAvoid giving vague descriptions of your expenses. Instead, provide a clear breakdown of your monthly costs and income. List your specific rent, food, and tool costs to show why you need this $500.00.
• StrategyAvoid leaving your General Application incomplete. Since you are automatically considered based on that form, ensure every section is filled out accurately. Double-check your contact information so the school can reach you.
• RealismAvoid assuming this is a guaranteed payment. Because it is based on financial need and a specific apprenticeship period, it is a targeted award. Apply for other NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) bursaries at the same time to increase your funding options.
