About this award

You can receive one of two bursaries valued at $750 each. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a student of Indigenous descent who has successfully finished an introductory or pathway program and is moving into a full credential program. You must apply by October 15th for fall programs or January 15th for winter programs. You will not find a notification timeline posted publicly, so ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how and when you will hear back about your application. Selection is based on your academic achievement and your financial need. Selection criteria aren't published in detail, so ask RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. The money is intended to help with your program fees and will be applied directly to those fees. If a sponsoring agency is already covering your fees, you can still receive the bursary to help with other related costs. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with RRC Polytech (Red River College Polytechnic) whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
