About this award

You can receive $2,500. There are awards available for up to 3 students. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are a self-starter who is goal-oriented and has spent time participating in extracurricular activities before applying for school. You must apply by October 31, 2026. When you apply, ask Olds College of Agriculture & Technology how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or a student portal. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Olds College of Agriculture & Technology how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Olds College of Agriculture & Technology during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Olds College of Agriculture & Technology whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be an Agricultural & Heavy Equipment student enrolled on a full-time basis. You need a GPA (Grade Point Average — the average of all your final grades) of 3.0 or equivalent. You must demonstrate financial need and show that you would otherwise be unable to attend Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. A preference is given to those from a family owned farm or small agribusiness.
