About this award

You get $3,000 for this scholarship. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. It is renewable for one additional year if you meet the academic requirements. This is for you if you are an outstanding student starting your university journey in the field of Earth Sciences. There is no application and no deadline: you are considered automatically if you are entering the Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences in the fall term. Carleton University awards it to the top five outstanding students entering the program, and it can be held on top of other Entrance or Prestige scholarships. Ask Carleton University how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this award for the second year, you must maintain your enrolment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Sciences and achieve an annual GPA (Grade Point Average — the average of your final grades) of 10.0.
